The Secret of The Miraculous Mihraj
Muhiyyadeen Ibn Al Arabi who was a king sized saint (Wali) (May Allah bless him), was saying through the power of his sainthood that He RA was able to take three thousand or more kinds of knowledge from the Quran Karim. It is only thirty chapters and about six hundred pages. What do you think is the meaning of Al Hamdulillahi Rabbil Aalameen – It means “all praise and all thanks is to Allah Al mighty the Lord of all the Worlds” Do you think that its meaning is only this?
Seyyadina Ali (R.A) was saying
“When people are sitting in front of me and listening to what I am saying on the meaning of Surah Fatiha. I never get tired”.
The batteries in the cassette player will run out after sometime but the main current, if it is connected to the cassette recorder will never finish. The batteries get tired but not the main current. Likewise the Prophets, the Sahaba and their inheritors – the Awliyas (Saints) they never get tired as they are connected to the main source of power (the main current).
Their physical and mental powers and their knowledge never diminish. Even their death is by the command of Allah (otherwise they are not dying) and they only pass away from people. They are dressed with the eternal life of Almighty Allah which they have been granted because they have left their egos and joined up without a support. No one can reach to heaven without following Rasullah (SAW).
The Prophet (SAW) went on the Mihraj (Ascent) for what purpose did he go on this Mihraj? Why Lailatul Mihraj (the night of Mihraj)? For what purpose was this miraculous Mihraj?
The purpose was to show to the whole nation of Muhammad (SAW) that by following the Prophet (SAW) that they also should be able to reach to it. When Hazrat Jibril (A.S) brought Buraq Shareef to the Prophet (SAW), the Prophet asked him
“is this only for me or also for my Ummah (Nation)”
Hazrat Jibrail AS answered;
“it is for you and also for your nation and the only condition is that they should follow in your steps and they should also be able to reach to this.”
The Buraq that was brought to the Prophet (SAW) was in a grass field in Paradise and there were so many other Buraqs with it. But this one was specially taken to the Prophet (SAW) because when it heard the name of the Prophet (SAW) “YA MUHAMMAD” O ! Muhammad (SAW) a feeling of love came over that Buraq and it fell in love with person who was named Muhammad. It stopped eating because of this and also started crying. Then Jibril (A.S) gave it good tiding and took it to the Prophet (SAW).
