Al Ihsan Madrassa
Is a vibrant place of teaching and learning located within The Sheikh Nazim Sufi Centre. The Al Ihsan Madrassa is a place for children and young people to come together and learn about traditional Islam.
The classes at Al Ihsan Madrassa are led by Muallem Saido Djau, who is also the second Imaam at the Sheikh Nazim Sufi Centre. The ethos of the madrassa is to promote a tolerant, moderate and traditional approach to Islamic teaching and learning.
Classes at Al Ihsan Madrassa

The following classes are currently available at Al Ihsan Madrassa;
- Quran – reading, recitation, tajweed and hifz
- Islamic Studies – Seerah, Fiqh, Aqeeda, Hadith
- Arabic – reading, writing
Muallem Saido Djau ensures that the classes are open, gentle, friendly and welcoming. The madrassa whilst following a curriculum.
Please note: If you or your child is unable to make classes in the week you are welcome to attend at the weekend!

Classes for Adults
The Al Ihsan Madrassa also runs classes for adults. Please contact Muallem Saido Djau as details may occasionally change due to unforeseen circumstances?
- The first Saturday of the month: 8pm – 9pm – Seerah. The classes are open to ALL brothers and sisters.
- Every second Friday of the month: 8pm – 9pm – Quran and Fiqh. Currently ONLY open to brothers. If sisters are interested then please get in touch as arrangements could be made if there is enough interest?
Tea and coffee refreshments are available.
There is NO COST for adult classes.
